Bridge Library Sample

Welcome

Welcome to Bridge Library!

Bridge School Library serves over 500 students from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. We are home to thousands of books, educational videos, periodicals, and reference materials. The library computers and Chromebooks provide access to the online library catalog, encyclopedias, periodical databases, and age-appropriate web sites.

The goals of the Bridge School Library are to foster the love of reading, teach information and digital literacy skills, enhance classroom curriculum instruction, and provide a wide range of quality children's literature.

Visit the About the Library page for more information about how the library operates.

Guide Design Info

This template is called "Elementary Libraries Sample." This is an example of a side-navigation guide (much like you have now). The design is two columns: the nav bar and the main section of the guide. No adjustments can be made to the size of the columns or nav bar unless we go into custom CSS (right now not a good idea). If you want more flexibility you need to use a top nav which would allow two or three columns of sizes you determine. If you choose to use this guide, save a copy as your own group's/school's homepage. Then all of the pages you create will maintain the same format, colors, etc.

HEADER - You can each pick a picture representative of your own library. This will be inserted in the header/footer info as part of group homepage.

The colors, of course, can be changed. We can do the same colors for all of the schools, or you can each choose your own. Up to you. Again, part of your specific group homepage.

Each tab on the nav bar represent a page. As an example, the ones listed are Library Catalog, Databases, Magazine, and For Teachers. You can rename these any way you like and add or delete as you like. These are just examples/place holders.

Add boxes to feature specific materials, events, etc., etc.
