Harrington 4th and 5th graders are invited to participate in the Massachusetts Children’s Book Award (MCBA) Program. This is a wonderful way to discover great new books to read! Students who read 5 of the nominated books are eligible to vote for their favorite in March. The Library will have copies of the nominated books available to check out, but students can also look for the books at public libraries.
Students will learn about the award during Library classes in November. We will look at descriptions or a book trailer for each of the nominated books. Students who participate will vote for the winner with their classes in the Library and statewide results are revealed in the spring.
