Harrington HAWKs have some great resources for summer reading! Each year the Lexington Elementary School Librarians and the Cary Children's Librarians develop a list of book suggestions to help students find great books to read over the summer. Students will get to preview some of these books during Library and will also get a visit from a Cary Children's Librarian on Monday June 13th to hear about their summer reading program. During Library classes, I am encouraging all students to visit their local library this summer and enjoy the season of reading outside, on the beach, wherever they can! Toward that end we will also have a "Read at the Beach" summer reading promotion during students' last Library classes where we'll transform the Library for some pretend beach reading.
