How do you spell that?
The Great Greeks have names that are hard for us to spell AND ...
some of them are known by more than one name. (Talk about confusing!)
The list below includes the correct spelling and alternate names, if they exist.
For example, Alexander the Great is also known as
Alexander III and Alexander of Macedon.
Each name could be used as a different search term.
|Aeschylus||Father of Greek Drama||Father of Greek Tragedy|
|Alexander the Great||Alexander III||Alexander of Macedon|
|Archimedes||Archimedes of Syracuse|
|Euclid||Euclid of Alexandria||Euclides|
|Herodotus||Herodotus of Halicarnassus|
|Hippocrates||Hippocrates of Cos||Father of Medicine|
|Leonidas||Leonidas I||King of Sparta|
|Miltiades||Miltiades the Younger|
|Pythagoras||Pythagoras of Samos||Pythagoras the Samian|
|Thales||Thales of Miletus|
